mtc client Campbells Prime Meat fought off national competition to win Best Website Based Business for its website selling fresh meat, fish and poultry direct to the public.
The award, open to meat suppliers across the UK including leading supermarkets, was presented at the 2015 Meat Management Industry Awards on 30 June.
Campbells family run business started out in 1910 as a single butcher’s shop in Edinburgh, and has matured into the largest, most flexible catering supplier in Scotland. In 2003 Campbells launched their website selling high quality meat, fish and deli products to the public, winning customers across the UK and Europe.
Much of the website’s success is due to the fact that Campbell’s meat and fish is of guaranteed Scottish provenance and quality. Campbells meat comes from Scottish farms and their fish is from Scottish fish markets. The products are traditionally butchered and filleted in Linlithgow before being packed in special chill boxes and delivered fresh to the customer’s doorstep.
