We are delighted to announce the launch of the fantastic new Castle Community Bank website. Castle Community Bank is Banking, but with a "community spirit".
At Castle, they do things differently and are a community bank dedicated to bringing the people an alternative home for their savings and loans.
At Castle Community Bank, they don’t have mysterious shareholders. Instead, the bank is owned and run by our members, creating a shared financial community across Scotland, which is accessible to everyone.
Community is something they strongly believe in. Banking doesn’t have to be done with a massive corporation. Castle have a focus on helping people, so they strive to be accessible, applicable and affordable for all of its customers.
Castle Community Bank was formed late in 2015 following the merger of two long established credit unions: Castle and North Edinburgh, along with the members of the Water of Leith Credit Union Study Group. The study group was set up with the aim of establishing a Credit Union in Leith. Castle Community Bank opened it’s doors in July 2016 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. The bank have lent over £1,000,000 since 2016, and customers have saved over £1,000,000, and these numbers are only increasing.
We want to break the cycle of debt.
We are very proud to be working with such a fantastic organisation, and love the new website we have developed for them, you can check it out by clicking here.
