Over the last few months we have been working very closely with one of our long standing clients Kafka on a new revamped website with a revamp across all areas of the site.
Kafka was established in April 1990 by brothers Russell and David Cameron with a vision to provide Aberdeen with globally sourced, high quality mens and womenswear. Through the years they have evolved and pushed into new territory whilst staying true to their core beliefs; with a simple philosophy to supply good product with good service.
The revamp tried to keep some of the old functions and incorporated some new needed ones.
The introduction of Kafka Mercantile as the primary brand and domain going forward created a larger audience reach with overseas a growing market for Kafka, also a large part of the project was the re-design of the site, introducing modern technologies to the site, new branding and a "mobile first" approach.
The project also gave us a great opportunity to streamline many of the back-office day to day tasks for processing orders quicker and integrating with more 3rd parties including multiple courier companies for both mainland and international orders, tracking and a real-time integration with their EPOS to cope with quicker turnover of stock.
It was a pleasure for the mtc team working on the site and was a designers dream utulising their fantastic product offering and photography to bring the new look and feel to life online.
Here at mtc we are delighted with the results the project has produced and if you are looking for some curated clothing that holds the spirit of the independent then look no further than the new Kafka Mercantile website
